Since last week Klein and I have done dressage, gallops, and stadium.
Dressage has been going pretty well. She had a REALLY nice, lifted canter on Saturday! I think I even said "WHOA!" out loud I was so surprised, hehe. Let's hope we can bring that out this weekend! Gallops she has been, as usual, feeling GREAT. I was hoping to have more time to write more detailed posts this week. Soon I will. I forgot to mention that Klein was adjusted by the chiro last week and he said that out of all the horses he had touched that day (including 6 at our barn) she was hands down in the best shape out of any of them and needed the least adjustments.
Yesterday I posted the most awesome jumping pic of Klein and I. See yesterday's post. Even though it's a blurry video still, you get the point! I told you a friend was there with her nice camera and I'd post the pics so...here you go!
Warm up oxer.
Wayne and our new pup. We've had him just over a week. Wayne found him shivering at a gas station on his way home from work.

3'3" triple bar with a 4'11" spread.
Flying Perch!
Here's the 1 sec after the video still when her legs are starting to come down.
Get it Klein girl!!
So much fun!
Still clearing it with ease.
Wayne and the pup raising the vertical to 3'6"
Klein over a 3'6"
One of my favorites of the day. Again over the 3'6". Just look at the effort she gives!!

Laurie went to the ATA meeting this past week so she asked if I'd take Niko aka The Antelope out. Niko is a lot of fun, I enjoy every ride on her!

Ha, she's like "Oh please don't tell me you're taking a pic of me jumping this ground rail!"
Niko being bored at 3'.

Lol, what a cutie. Klein looks awesome stretching over those triple bars! And I love the expression on 'the antelope'
Those pictures are amazing!!! I love the ones with the mountains in the background. And damn girl you are motivating or you make me feel lazy, I can't decide but either way you both look phenomenal!! And the antelope does make 3' look like a ground pole, she has got some jump!
SHE is a MACHINE!! Awesome pics! And I second the mountain comment, how COOL is that! I was born/raised in AZ and really miss those gorgeous mountains out here in the south.
Wow.
Some beautiful pics of a clearly beyond talented horse & rider team. And what a beautiful background in some of those pictures - such a gorgeous view to ride with!
Some points:
1) Klein is amazing. But we all knew that.
2) Niko and the new pup are damn cute
3) Remind me to move to NM when I'm out of college so I can enjoy a vista like that every day.
Jeez LaWeez we are SO boring compared to u crazy athletes! :) Klein is literally EATING those fences UP! Skills. That must feel awesome to hear the professionals give you Kudos on keeping her so well balanced and in shape.
Klein's form over fences > Niko's form over fences x 10. Just sayin. And you know I love me a good Trakehner but DANG! Perch rule!
Such grand form, and still so relaxed and happy about it! She's a superstar!
OMG, I can understand why you call Niko the Gazelle, she's so ... upward? Lifted? upright? She's lovely, and has some mad skillz as well! I bet she's a fun ride!
I'm so glad you gals are getting the dressage points in hand. Seeing Klein do a lifted gait must be amazing, the power and grace combining into the beauty of your magical mare!
And yay for the new pupper, what a dolly boy! Sad, I've heard almost a hundred stories of people who've found young animals just "around", either lost or abandoned or feral. Thankfully, most of the stories were just like yours - found and adopted! Thanks for saving him, he looks just precious!
SO awesome. Nice work! I love "Flying Perch."
I love the pictures. Klein is amazing!
